The trip wasn't too painful at all.
We met in the Calgary airport at 11am (2 Starbucks), took an easy4 hr. hop to Toronto and laid over for a bit (1 Starbucks), then a quick 6.5 hr flight to Paris (no Starbucks), then eventually found our bus and drove to Metz for 3.5 hrs. We had to take care of accreditation and registration before we could check in at our hotel. All in all about 22 hrs of travel.
Our rooms are very nice and the hotel is in a beautiful area a short walk from the venue. The equipment and the setup look extremely professional and our athletes will have no problem being amazing in this space.
Everyone is looking forward to dinner and then bed.
